1st Place at Regionals!
February 8, 2008:
Duke Mock Trial came away with an astonishing 4 bids to Nationals after this past weekend at the Greenville Regionals held at Furman University.
Though AMTA rules required we decline two, all 4 of our teams qualified for the national tournament and finished with winning records! Duke
finished in 1st and 4th place in the Greenville I Regional, earning bids to Gold and Silver Nationals in St. Paul and Memphis, respectively.
In the Greenville II Regional, Duke came in 6th and 9th place. The program also earned 11 individual awards, helping
Duke to bring home it's most impressive record at Regionals ever!

Mock Trial is a fun, exciting, and educational experience for all college students! Through engaging in trial simulations in competition with teams from other institutions, students develop critical thinking and public speaking skills, as well as a knowledge of legal practices and procedures. -- The American Mock Trial Association
Duke Mock Trial is for engaged, creative, dynamic individuals who like to act, argue, or do both. While it is a bit of a commitment, the rewards are endless. Gain life experience, knowledge and new friends! We have members enter during any year ? so you don?t need to be a freshmen to be a first year member nor do you need any prior experience! During the 2005-2006 season we had two All Americans at the National Championship tournament. Last season, Duke made it to both Gold and Silver Nationals! Mock Trial is absolutely NOT JUST FOR PRE-LAW students.
