Mindy McTeigue

Picture
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Hometown: San Francisco, CA
Class of 2017

Mindy is a current senior who came to Duke three years ago with the sole and only purpose of competing on the mock trial team. With only one summer program of high school mock trial experience, she’s thrilled to be able to be involved in this activity for the long haul and is especially glad that she wasn’t forced to transfer out of Duke due to the emptiness that may have consumed her in the absence of this club. Unfortunately, her love of mock trial far outweighs her love of real trial, and as a result she hopes to never enter a court room again (except to watch more mock trial) after graduation. In her free time she enjoys obsessively reading and quoting teenage-boy-worthy science fiction novels, eating gummy candy and inauthentic Chinese food, talking about "Effective Altruism," and feeling skeptical about the world view of others.
