Major: Cultural Anthropology
Hometown: Houston, TX
Class of 2024
Mackenzie is a super high-energy, incredibly impassioned gal from the one and only H-Town—home of some of the best barbecue, burgers, steaks, Tex-Mex, and seafood your tastebuds will EVER experience!
In alignment with her zeal for life and her productive, morning-person self, you can catch her awake at 6:30 AM Monday through Friday! She currently plans on majoring in Cultural Anthropology and minoring in Education. Bringing up the educational achievement gap and the opportunity gap is a surefire way to have a fruitful conversation with her!
Her obsessions include her super cute cat Toby, her stuffed animal named Ted E. Bear, her nonprofit Mack’s School Prep (please go like and subscribe to her YouTube channel...she needs more followers), reading for funsies, horror or romcom movie marathons, haunted house sprees in October, and literally any adrenaline-rush activity you can think of (roller coasters, bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, zip lining, etc.).
Although she has no prior mock trial or speech/debate experience, she’s super grateful to be apart of DMT and is eager to spend her college career learning what it takes to be a stellar witness and/or attorney!
